WASA

Wasa was a Swedish warship which was built between 1626 and 1628 and her first voyage was on 10 August 1628. The ship was built by the order of the King of Sweden Gustavus Adolphus for the purpose of military expansion in a war with Poland-Lithuania (1621 – 1629).  Being richly decorated as the King’s ambition, she was considered as one of the most powerful armed ships in the worlds. That, in turn, made it dangerously unstable due to its too much weight in the upper structure of the hull.
